About Earthmama 101

I am a mother to four amazing kids and a wife to a wonderful husband. They are my best friends, as well as, my worst enemies. The best and the worst all tied up in a beautiful present called, my life. I’m one of those people who believe that everyone and everything you surround yourself with is there to reflect back a little part of yourself that you need to pay extra special attention to, and there’s no one better to do that for you than your family. I love my family more than anything in the whole world, even when they are driving me crazy. They make me tick and strive toward creating a connective and fine knit future together. We homeschool and spend a lot of time together. There isn’t a week that goes by that I don’t want to pull my hair out because of it, but homeschooling is what makes sense to me and what works for us. I love photography, knitting, sewing, and any form of crafting. I love creating. I went to college for two years for graphic design, where I thouroughly enjoyed delving deeper into sculpture, ceramics, drawing, and painting. College wasn’t the way for me though…I wanted to be a mom and unfortunately they do not offer courses for that at college. That you have to learn from “real life”. Real life is how I teach my kids. I want them to learn ALL that life has to offer them, in the “real world”. I want them to see that anything is possible if you put your mind, effort, and intentions into it. Right now we are working together to create a vision for a new life where we can be more self sustainable and live less constricted by the constraints this society has been built on. Where life is going to lead us, we are not sure, but when opportunity comes, we’re so there!

Thanks for visiting!

Hello-
Just found your blog and I’m loving it! Your “about” words spoke to me and made me giggle….. love the pulling your hair out (weekly) over homeschooling – I get it! I fully agree with those in your life being a great mirror and our best call to grow and stretch. I also feel ya on the vision for life, a different way, that offers more time, flexibility and true happiness, opposed to that we try to purchase – more homegrown goodness!
All the best to you!
Mariah
