growing gratitude

.:Beauty and simplicity surround us all the time and are things that I try to embrace as often as I can slow down to see. Every Monday I will post…a “growing gratitude” post. Basking in our own state of gratitude as well as the gratitude of others always seems uplifting to me. Plus, I always love a good positive start to the beginning of each week. I will put a Mr. Linky at the end of each week’s post in hopes that some of you may want to join in this mindfulness journey with me. You can formulate your own posts however you want to…lots of pictures, or none; lots of thoughts, or maybe just one profound one. The main gist is to share whatever you are feeling grateful for in your life…right now; here and now; in the present. I’ve included a button as well, so if you’re interested, you can grab a button and link back to each week’s post. So let’s begin, shall we?:.

Right now, I am…

…admiring the strong connection animals and children seem to innately have.

…loving where we live more and more each and everyday.

…astounded by the natural beauty of nature no matter what form it reveals itself in.

…reminded of how important and connective explorations with my children can be.

…wondering if toting four children around with me will seem easy peasy once I have five.

…thinking I won’t be able to s q u e e z e into my “normal” clothes for very much longer.

…marveling at how all of our animals get along with each other. They play and love each other…dogs and chickens; cats and bunnies…thank goodness.

…grateful for several long-ish stretches of knitting time over the past week.

…thankful for the rain that threatened the skies just long enough for us to run out and spread our spring cover crop over half of our soon to be vegetable garden.

…excited about the local farmer’s market and some people I met who are willing to mentor me in areas I would love to learn.

…savoring these pickled garlic scapes we picked up (per Hawthorn’s request) from some neighboring farmers at above said farmer’s market.

…feeling the deep sense of promise that this spring is happily handing out…and breathing it in as deep as my lungs can muster.
