“… a ditch somewhere – or a creek, meadow, woodlot, or marsh…. These are places of initiation, where the borders between ourselves and other creatures break down, where the earth gets under our nails and a sense of place gets under our skin.… Everybody has a ditch, or ought to. For only the ditches and the field, the woods, the ravines – can teach us to care enough for all the land.”

beautiful photography!!
First, your photos are stunning, you are an amazing photographer. Second, that looks like a beautiful walk but to my Canadian (adoptive) eyes it looks like autumn because here winter is pretty much white! And third, going on nature walks like these, seeing my children so free is always when I feel the most happy about homeschooling. Now we've moved we can go on walks on our own land (pop over any time by the way) and I love the freedom it gives us just to be. When we are outside that is when I feel life is really going well.
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful : )
Great shots! Looks like you had a great time!
the light , oh the light, and those clouds and their sweet faces make it so easy for me to hear the laughter, peel it right from this post. wonderful.
What a beautiful day you had, loving that you love nature as much as we do! X

The shots of the late-in-the-day sun disappearing behind the grass are breathtaking. Is there anything better than kids running in the woods? Enjoy the remainder of your weekend!
