a week in gratitude::day two

by earthmama101 on November 22, 2011

{‘Tis the season for giving thanks for what we have…for being grateful for all that we experience. This week I am taking the time to make random lists…of all the things that I am grateful for, and ending with a different quote on gratitude each day. Gratitude is such a powerful form of prayer. Care to join me? Leave a list in the comments of what you are grateful for each day…or just come here to be inspired. Together we can shine our light.}

I am grateful…

…for early morning snuggles.
…for the chance to wake before the sun.
…for new and exciting opportunities…as always, not necessarily knowing where they will lead.
…for my creativity.
…for my love and deep admiration for nature and the deep knowledge it beholds.
…for four distinct seasons and getting to witness their transitions.
…for the crunchy leaves under my feet.
…for the light and the dark…the sun and the moon…the good and the bad.
…for my children and all that they teach me.
…for my mother and all that she teaches me.
…for my father and all that he teaches me.
…for all of my relatives and all that they teach me.
…for every stranger that crosses my path and all that they teach me.
…for each one of you and all that you teach me.
…for life…in general…and all of the crazy experiences I have had thus far.
…for the ability to know deeply that everything I have ever done, said, and chosen…has lead me right here to who I am right now.
…for a certain insistent toddler always demanding that I remain present.
…for the rain yesterday…and today…knowing that it is not going to be able to keep us inside today.

“When we become more fully aware that our success is due in large measure to the loyalty, helpfulness, and encouragement we have received from others, our desire grows to pass on similar gifts. Gratitude spurs us on to prove ourselves worthy of what others have done for us. The spirit of gratitude is a powerful energizer.”
— Wilferd A. Peterson

.:.Right now, what are you grateful for?.:.
