{‘Tis the season for giving thanks for what we have…for being grateful for all that we experience. This week I am taking the time to make random lists…of all the things that I am grateful for, and ending with a different quote on gratitude each day. Gratitude is such a powerful form of prayer. Care to join me? Leave a list in the comments of what you are grateful for each day…or just come here to be inspired. Together we can shine our light.}
…for the early morning quiet and peace that surrounds me.
…for the everyday chaos in which I am given the chance to find quiet and peace within me.
…for my ability to start a blazing fire out of soaking wet wood.
…for the chance to spread my wings and fly.
…for new opportunities for which I have my fingers crossed.
…for this rain, which is forcing me to continue to de-clutter.
…for the chance to be with family tomorrow and be grateful together for the simple things that we are blessed with.
…for gratitude, and the chance to write these posts each day, and the ability to feel just how powerful it all really is.
…for the raindrops that race down my window panes, picking up small raindrop passengers all the way to the finish line.
…for the strength to know when to let go.
…for little boys who are growing up so quick.
…for my girls who want to grow up too quick.
…for family time and time spent together with those I love any chance I get.
…for my insights.
…for my light side.
…for my shadow.
…for all my flaws, which are merely disguised as opportunities to allow myself to grow.
…for the chance to be who I came here to be.
…for the strength it took me to get to where I am right now.
…for the chance to feel a full heart and the tears that come when I feel it.
“Gratefulness is the key to a happy life that we hold in our hands, because if we are not grateful, then no matter how much we have we will not be happy — because we will always want to have something else or something more.”
—Brother David Steindl-Rast
