a week in gratitude::day one

by earthmama101 on November 21, 2011

{‘Tis the season for giving thanks for what we have…for being grateful for all that we experience. This week I am taking the time to make random lists…of all the things that I am grateful for, and ending with a different quote on gratitude each day. Gratitude is such a powerful form of prayer. Care to join me? Leave a list in the comments of what you are grateful for each day…or just come here to be inspired. Together we can shine our light.}

I am grateful…

…for the rich soil I grow my roots deep into.
…for the good food I am blessed with.
…for the trees above.
…for the earth below.
…for the fire deep within my soul.
…for the air I fill my lungs with.
…for the endless winding roads I travel.
…for the time spent with my children preparing a special celebration.
…for the man I love with all my heart: my husband.
…for the ability to walk, to talk, to hug, to smile.
…for my gift of being a seeker.
…for each step I take…and all the lessons I am blessed with.

“Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgivings, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessings.”
— William Arthur Ward

i am grateful for your children and the light they bring to my life. just spending time with them reminds me that life doesn't have to be full of to-do lists, and i need to just take a deep breath and cherish every moment i get to spend with them <3! I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!

Ah, yes…although it doesn't always feel like a celebration…it truely is. I think it is pricelss to teach our children…all children… that truth.
