It’s hot. It’s really stinkin’ hot…so I think I’ll give up…and melt to the ground…even if it’s right in the middle of a parking lot.
Then I’ll sit here and wait…and wait…until my Mommy comes back and rescues me and carries me back to the car.
Because I cannot even think, let alone walk, when it is so so hot out.

The other day Hawthorn was whinning, of course, as most little ones do when it is so blazing hot out and they are really sweaty and uncomfortable. Instead of getting really irritable, as us Mama’s sometimes do when we too are really sticky and hot and uncomfortable ourselves… I grabbed my camera and snapped these pictures. I just couldn’t help but smile and completely understand where this little guy was coming from. It’s been super hot lately, as many of you well know, and we are trying to creatively keep our cool over here. We’ve had some water balloon action, filled up the baby pool, and last night I even sent ice packs to bed with the kids. Maybe today I will pull out the dish soap.
